Why won't head lice stop coming back?

Head Lice re-infestations are very common. In fact, they are almost inevitable. Why? Because it is impossible for every single family in your circle of family and friends to kill every louse and remove every nit out of the hair of every person in their household.

Head lice are a very difficult insect to kill. They're small, they are good at hiding, and they have been developing their survival mechanisms for eons of time. Lice don't want to die. What can you do about lice re-infestations?

There are two things you can do to minimize head lice re-infestations. First of all, make sure you get them all out of your heads with the proper use of our LiceKiller products. Don't forget to use the lice comb as directed.

Second, immediately clean the house. Some of the lice will have fallen off your heads in the bathroom or kitchen (wherever you did the treatment). Some of those hairs will have nits on them. According to the life cycle of lice, those nits can hatch up to 10 days later. And the nymphs can crawl around looking for a head for up to three days.

So make sure you are vacuuming and washing everything for at least 13 days after you treat. Also, be aware that your children will probably be exposed to head lice repeatedly from other children. This makes reinfestation almost inevitable.
